2009 Christmas Eve Dinner

My mother and father will be visiting this Christmas. Christmas Eve is my father's birthday. This year he'll be 75. In honor of his birthday and Christmas Eve, my husband I would like to take my parents to a nice dinner following Grace Cathedral services. We're looking for a place that is warm, cozy, not too noisy, and delicious in the Nob Hill/Union Square areas. We'd like a menu where main dishes cost no more than $30 or prix fixe no more than 60 pp. Any help is much appreciated!

    1. Rue Lepic at Pine and Mason on Nob Hill is a very good French restaurant. I think your parents would enjoy it thoroughly. I'm not sure it they'll be open on Christmas Eve, but if they are, I would recommend it. It is close to Grace Cathedral, but I'd check it out to see if it's within walking distance for a 75-year-old.
