I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question...

Is it ok to post info on upcoming food events?? I didn't know if that would be seen as "advertising" even though I don't have anything to do with the restaurant industry (I just like to eat!). I ask because there is an event coming up that a friend of mine has organized and I wanted to let others in the area know about it. It is simply an event where people can go to lots of our local restaurants and try special small plates (one day only). My friend does not make any money from it and it is not for a charity - she did it just because it seemed like a fun idea and the restaurants got excited about it. The only people making money are the restaurants themselves when people come in to buy their food.

Thanks for any guidance on this.

We don't allow the promotion of anything -- including non-profit events. Because your friend has organized this event, we'd ask you not to post about.
