Vegas Girls Trip Dinner Help!

I have read about a million posts and my head is spinning! We are six 30-35 year old Moms from MT and we are having our first all girl getaway. We need dinner reservations for this upcoming Fri and Sat night. We are staying at the MGM Signature and we want to spend around $150 a person with a glass of wine or two. The girls want to go to the Anthony Cools show at Paris on Friday night (it looks dreadful to me...but I am trying to be a good sport).
I am a very adventurous eater and I have used chowhound for all of my vacations with my husband...and if I were traveling with him....I would be all about the tasting menus (fabulous deals!) However, the girl friends want FUN atmosphere, too and are gastronomically easier to impress.
One of my girlfriends is hoping we go to SW Steakhouse as she has been and really enjoyed it...I am less excited as I have access to excellent prime beef here at home. I was hoping for something a little more exciting with some seafood options. So, is L'Atelier (sticking to the fall of l'unique tasting menu) a good idea for my goup or perhaps Bartolotta's? I was also thinking MiX looks fun... Any SW Steakhouse alternatives? Am I getting to pricey...any more moderate alternatives? Perhaps Bouchon or Olives?
Thanks...chowhound has never let me down!

  1. Olives (for lunch) was perfect and delicious on a similar girl's trip to yours. That and the Border Grill in Mandalay Bay (trio of ceviche = yum!) were the food highlights of my trip where my companions were focused on costs over delectable food. Both restaurants served delicious food, were inexpensive for the quality (where so much food in Vegas seems so overpriced) and are places I will return gladly and do recommend regularly.

Hmmm...looks good...maybe Cafe BaBaReeba or Firefly? Perhaps we should skip the super innovative yet extremely expensive food and go for fabulous atmosphere and good food? Or maybe one night of a higher end place and another night more moderate?
