I'm planning on getting back into cooking Hungarian dishes, which I haven't done for ages. Where (downtown if possible) can I find Hungarian ingredients, particularly good quality Hungarian paprika and fresh parsley root? The long gone Elizabeth Delicatessen on Bloor used to be my go-to place but now I don't know where to look.

I get fresh parsley root from Longo's and paprikas from Highland Farms--both far west GTA sources. Paprikas shouldn't be hard to find downtown(?).

Second Honey Bear. I took my Hungarian-born dad there a few months back for the first time and despite the tiny size of the place, he found everything he was looking for.

Downtown it's not but there is a good selection North of Steeles, East side, In the small plaza, next to Noah's and What a Bagel. And I thing you could find what you are lloking for on Bloor, across from Ed's.
