I am looking for butterscotch suckers. Laura Secord used to have them, but according to their website, they are no longer in Calgary. Any other options?

  1. I don't know for sure, but have you tried the candy shop in Inglewood? I think its called Olivers? Its just up and over from Chokolat. Also, you could try the candy store in Bridgeland..they are on 1st just in the same block as Starbucks and Main Dish....now you have me craving butterscotch suckers from Laura Secord! I haven't had them since I was a kid!

    1. See's Candies - gourmet lollipops, butterscotch included. Would ship to Canada...or if you know someone going to U.S. to mule some back.

Laura Secord's butterscotch suckers were more of a hard candy.

Here's a place to order them:

They're called "kiddy pops". Growing up in Ontario, "sucker" was something I never heard used to describe a lollipop.

Chapters is selling the See's lollipops. Don't know if butterscotch is among them or if it's the type you're looking for though.

        3. omg, don't waste money on laura secord suckers....haven't had any in 20 years, got some for
christmas....not the same. light yellow-brown color with a sickly chemical taste. not the dark brown lushiness of my memory
however if you are looking for canadian foods the website to go to is canadianfavorites.com
even if he doesn't list it dave will get it to you within limits...no meat products to the states

I remember the laura secord lollipops being light yellow-brown and kind of chemical-y back in the mid-80s. I still loved them, though.

thanks, i live in vegas, home to see's, they are a great candy company...caramel machiato i think is the flavor i like best...chocolate and vanilla not any good

werthers butterscotch candies are the closest to what i remember in the good old days when laura secords were a dark brown. the light yellow brown tastes like the light yellow brown
generic butterscotch candies....if you never had the originals you can't be disappointed in how far the quality has fallen....then again, i don't remember trying the 80's version...have a
hard time believing the 80's was over 20 years ago....i guess i was thinking of the late 60's and 70's , this getting old is for the birds....
