First the positives...
the food is delicious, inventive and expertly prepared. The surroundings are attractive and cozy and the staff accommodating and personable.

Now the negatives...
No reservations are accepted. They open at 5. We arrived on a Saturday at 5:15 to an hour wait. ( This is the second time we arrived early to be confronted with an hour's wait)

It is simply not possible to plan an evening around dinner there. I realize they don't "need " to accept reservations...no restaurant needs to. The opportunity to make and confirm a reservation is an act of respect for the time of one's patrons.
If we could make reservations we would dine there regularly with friends. The current policy leaves as many disappointed walkaways as delighted diners.

I know how you feel. I've gone twice, both for special occasions, and in order to insure a table, have had to be there when the doors open. That being said, it's no wonder, considering the food, service, and atmosphere.
