My husband and I will be getting in around 1pm this Friday and are staying near Powell and Pine. We're going to be hungry for lunch and I'd like to know where we're going to eat. I'd like a place that we can enjoy a leisurely lunch, have delicious food with a nice but casual SF ambiance.

Any ideas for lunch? Walking distance would be preferred.

We've also got a rez at Frascati that night. (That's what I came up with after research here and Yelp). My sister has also recommended Nopa. Any other thoughts for a not too sceney/hipster, but great dining experience? We're coming from Portland so we have high expectations in terms of fresh, locally sourced food. Thanks!

For fresh and locally sourced, I'd go down to Sam's Grill, 374 Bush. Very old-school SF kind of place. Just order grilled fish.

if the weather's nice Belden Alley (directly South of the BofA tower) has many choices, maybe not all destination quality, but the outdoor aspect is very pleasant. a good place to waste an afternoon before the fog starts back in.

This looks really interesting, which spot is your favorite? B44 would be a great pick as my husband and I were in Barcelona 2 summers ago. Does that have a good reputation?

it used to, someone else will have to chime in as I'm not immediately familiar with SF like I used to be. I always liked Plouf and Bastille (same owners as B44 I believe) and it'ss right around the corner from Sam's for it's old school Herb Caen type charm
