Bone vs Meat in Chicken Parts

Does anyone know the average percentage of meat to bone in each of the typical chicken parts? Thigh, drumstick, breast, wing & back? Thanks!

  1. i don't know at all, but here are my guesses...

    part: percentage meat

    thigh: 60%
    drumstick: 50%
    breast: 70%
    wing: 40%
    back: not sure...depends on how it is boned?

    Maybe someone else will have more reliable info. These are just guesses.
