Finding Comice pears in Seattle area?

Does anyone have a good source for Comice pears in Seattle? My family's enjoyed Royal Rivieras from H&D for many years - all but their frequent near-over-ripeness on arrival and their high cost. The internet led me to understand that Royal Riviera pears ARE Comice pears, and I thought I'd try my luck going direct this year.

I'm game to check out upscale markets, Pike Place vendors, any good source that anyone can suggest. Thanks all!

Comice pears are widely available in the better Seattle grocery stores (and presumably some farmers markets), including Whole Foods, Metropolitan, at least some QFC's, etc. They will not be as beautiful as what you get through mail order because they bruise very easily.

Metropolitan on the top of Queen Anne has them.

I think I saw them at the Ballard Farmer's Market today, but I'm not 100% sure.

Metropolitan Markets do an event every autumn featuring premium local pears (like their summer Peach-O-Rama). I haven't been by a MM in the past few weeks, but last year, the pears were huge and gorgeous and really juicy and flavorful.
