Cheap Chicken Parts in the East Village?

Now that it's getting cold, I'm ready to make some chicken stock. But every time I go shopping, I can't find anything affordable, like necks and backs, or a whole bird on sale. Any tips on cheap chicken parts in the East Village?

Not the East Village, I know, but in Chinatown if you go to Deluxe Food Market on Elizabeth Street, you can get a bag of bones, approximately 2 carcasses, for $0.99.
