I'll be meeting a friend for lunch next week. Cherry Hill is more-or-less the halfway point for both of us. Can anyone help me with a good recommendation in the vicinity? Thanks!

Oh Yoko on Route 70 is great lunch spot if you enjoy Japanese--sushi bar, okonomiyaki, sashimi, hand rolls, noodle dishes, bento box lunch, salads, as well as some unexpected offerings like crab cakes.

It's in the Pine Tree Plaza not far from the exit of 295 (head west on 70). Andreotti's Viennese Cafe is also in that plaza but I have not eaten there lately..

I can suggest Siris French-Thai on Route 70 in CH. It's very good; in a shopping center directly across the street from a very large Wegmans shopping center.

If you like Japanese, one of the very best restaurants in the Delaware Valley is Fuji in Haddonfield. It is just a few minutes off of Route 70 in downtown Haddonfield. Haddonfield is very charming and lovely to walk around in town.

Also right on 70 is Cafe Aldo Lamberti, the 'flagship' restaurant of all the Lamberti locations. It's more upscale and is not BYOB.

Both Cafe Aldo and Siris are almost next door to each other, across from the Garden State Park shopping center, which houses the Wegmans. There are also some chain restaurants in the shopping center like Cheesecake Factory and McCormick and Schmick. I would stay away from The Viennese Cafe; lovely atmosphere but truly mediocre and often just not good food.

I'll second what mschow said about Fuji.
It is the best sushi restaurant within 200 miles.
No joke.

Actually, it's "Caffe" Aldo Lamberti which is a mispelling.

Can anyone tell me why?

We ended up at McCormick & Schmick's which was quite good (but pricey for lunch). My friend suggested the Kibitz Room for the next time we get together. Is it really like NY Deli?
