louuu and i have agreed to disagree on luc's in ridgefield. my position is that i've been twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. one occurence there did however, disturb me. a table full of diners who had brought their own wines to the restaurant. i consider such a move to be grossly unfair and insulting to a restaurant. if a restaurant has an inadequate wine list then don't go there. otherwise why not allow them the opportunity to earn their living. this commentary is made with the understanding that sometimes one has a special bottle from their collection that they wish to share with friends. feedback, anyone?

Are you serious? Restaurants have the option to allow patrons to bring wine in or not and to charge corkage or not. Not sure I understand where you are coming from.

If you don't like that a restaurant allows patrons to bring their own wine, then don't go there.
