I checked the company's product locator, and the nearest "official" seller is Market Basket in Ashland. Anywhere else that anyone knows of?

Oh, yes. I picked up some Old Monk from Federal Wines, and had one with Gosling's (nee Barritt's) Ginger Beer, but I've heard tell that Stewart's is the best. I also tried Maine Roots, and Reed's Extra, but so far the Gosling's brand is the best I've tried.

I just realized, I was confused... AJ Stephan's was the brand I was thinking of...

http://www.ajstephans.com/AJStephans/pages/recipes.htm

It's made here in MA and it is really good. I have had it in bars and it is better then Barritt's. Sorry for the confusion, but this stuff is very good.

If you like a "spicier" ginger beer, try the Goya brand. It can be found in Stop-N-Shop's international isle in both individual and 2 liter bottles, depending on which store you visit.

Not a fan of the Goya, too spicy. Fentiman's is an expensive import I've only found online and IIRC 10 oz bottles. Fentiman's is very floral and works better in a Moscow Mule where the unflavored vodka (don't shoot me) allows you to taste the ginger beer, I didn't like the Gosling's Fentiman's combo. Cock N' Bull, another I've only been able to get online (read expensive) is supposed to be from the original bar. I liked it a lot.

I regularly pass on AJ Stevens, Maine Root and Reed's Jamaican. All seem unbalanced in one way or another.

I usually go for Barritt's or the new Gosling's (same thing?). Sorry but the only place I've seen Stewart's is online.
