We were there with a group of 70-somethings in November. They had a good time with the novelty of the place but the food was pretty grim. We made a bee-line back to the SFV and an In-n-Out. Didn't have their prime rib. But everything was very well prepared, traditional recipe, tasty fare. I had their Breast of Chicken Waldorf with rice, Scallop and Shrimp Brochette, salad, asparagus, fresh vegetables, bread pudding, cheesecake. Pretty standard fare, but very very good. Service was excellent and still elegant out on the back patio. I think they do a better job at group dinners than many of the hotels. And, I can't imagine that Lawry's beef product is declining. Why would it? What's the news there? Last prime rib I had was at a hotel in Las Vegas in January. Cut it with a fork, and loved the few heavy ribbings of fat in each slice. Maybe I need some direction on what a good prime rib is? Is Gulliver's a good place to have it?
