Rudy's Mexican restaurant in Kansas City on Westport Road

We've been fans of Rudy's for a long, long time. They offer solid food choices at a wide range of prices, (and it's convenient for us), but last friday or saturday night I think we decided it was our last trip to that tried and true. Our margaritas tasted like they were made with water, and the food was just ok. No longer full of the 'rave' that we once knew, years ago. This place may be headed like the Margarita's restaurant was in the early 1980s. That place was great but suffered big time over the years. I am afraid Rudy's is traveling down the same path.

  1. We went a few weeks ago and it wasn't anything special, for sure. With so many other great Mexican restaurants around town, at least we have options. Clearly you're not talkign about Rudy's in WI or MI - odd that it pulled those up.

    1. We used to love Rudy's but haven't been in a few years. Sorry to hear it has gone downhill... but I'm glad I saw your post. Confirms what I'd read elsewhere. Don't think we'll waste and time/money/calories going back. Too many other places in KC that are wonderful.
