Lunch & Dinner in New Orleans?

I'm heading to New Orleans next week. I know that there a ton of choices of places to dine. Can anyone recommend any special/uniques places to try?

  1. You will get a million responses. If you are going to be there more than a day or two, I'd highly recommend getting a Zagat's guide to the city . They are tremendously useful guides.

One restaurant I think everyone should eat at once in their life is Antoine's:

A less gourmand style place I will visit in the future is Paraso. I saw it on Guy Fieri's show and it looked like a great lunch spot if in the Garden District.

    Have fun!

Parasol's is a good ole spot but I regret the new owners got rid of the coolers behind the bar..I know why they did it but I still don't like it...

New as of several years ago. The old slide-top coolers were ditched in favor of big things proclaiming the sovereignty of Coca-Cola (not even Barq's)

    2. Bon Ton, Liuzza's By The Track, Parasol, Parkway, Cochon, Nola Grocery, Napoleon House (get a pimm's cup) - that's my lunch list.

Second that emotion for Joey-K's! Great local hang and possibly the frostiest Abita on tap in town.

IMNSHO Brigtsen's kicks K-Paul's ass from here to eternity. The student has far surpassed the master, offers a better overall experience and for less jack to boot.

              -----
              Brigtsen's Restaurant
723 Dante St, New Orleans, LA 70118

          2. Thanks for all your suggestions!
