Nice & fun lunch spot near Farragut West

I'm coming into town for what may be a stressful meeting and am looking for somewhere good to eat with a fun atmosphere and good drinks!!!

Don't go to Cafe Asia... the food sucks.

I went to Founding Farmers for the first time, for lunch, last week -- and I actually think it sounds perfect for what the OP is looking for (haven't been to BLT nor Spezi, but the latter, from the outside looks nice but not "fun" to me). To tell the truth, I wasn't crazy about the food I had (just too much and too heavy for my mood), but for what you're asking for, and after a stressful meeting, I'd go there for sure. I didn't have alcohol, but looked like lots of fun choices for drinks, plus solid comfort food, and I'd call it a 'fun' atmosphere -- and would be comfortable eating (or drinking) alone there.

Founding Farmers is the only "nice" restaurant I like in the area. For non-fancy, I love Breadline and the newly opened G Street.

BLT Steak gets my vote over there.

I like Founding Farmers at 20th and Penn for lunch. It has a good range of American Fare choices and a good bar with interesting cocktails. The space is nice as well. Just be aware that most of their entrees are huge. Another place I like for lunch is Spezie at 18th and L. I've had several good lunches there, particularly the pasta they make in house and their squash blossoms, although its not worth the price for dinner. You can eat at the bar and get a decent selection of wines by the glass if you're alone.
