FOOD INC. DVD [moved from Chicago board]

Did anybody see FOOD INC.? I've been looking for postings, but couldn't find any about the movie. I managed to see it and shocked that after two years in the restaurant business I didn't know much of what is talked about in the film. It comes out on next Tuesday according to Amazon. Think I might even get a copy for the "chef." Or, would that be too pushy?

    1. Hi, I'm surprised I can't seem to find a lot of discussion on this film in the blogs. I'm not in the business, so I can't comment on your question. All I can tell you is that I am no longer eating out after watching this film. Also, there are three Whole Foods that are all equidistant from my house. Since the director of this film was on Oprah, I have seen a pick up in store traffic at each location , as have my friends. I noticed last week that Food Inc. was rated number three on Amazon's movie/tv sales.

I cried three times watching Food, Inc., and I'm not new to most of the issues raised, I've been buying organic produce for 10 years, and in the last 3 years switched to natural meats (raised without steroids, antibiotics, free range/grass fed meat, wild fish etc.

But i woud eat out pretty frequently. Now, I'm eating at home and buying stock in Whole Foods.I also belong to a local organic produce co op, and am so glad I joined. I wonder how others who have seen the movie are reacting?
