Had a great meal and overall experience there two years ago. I worry that it's been in too many tourist guides and NY Times articles. Anybody?

Osteria del Pesce is closed. I think there is a new restaurant in its place, but I haven't heard anything about it.
If you make a search, you'll find plenty of recs for good fish/seafood dining in Rome.

I have tried many of the seafood restaurants in Rome (not a city known for seafood in any case.) Ostaria del Pesce was good but not on the top of my list. A recent wonderful find is Ottavio, on via di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme. Two (unofficial) seatings, so I would suggest arriving at 19:30 or 21:30 if you want to relax and really enjoy the meal. The food is delicious and fresh, the ambiance is tranquil and lovely, the service attentive but efficient, and the prices are reasonable considering it is a seafood-only restaurant. Reservations are a must.

Hi Mengler,
Just off Campo dè Fiori there's a very good upmarket seafood restaurant called Il Sanlorenzo, very good service, nice wine list including italian bubbles and excellent fresh seafood.
Hope this helps
Ciao

Ostaria del Pesce was open in March (rented a flat around the corner). Hours are a tad eccentric.
