Special lunch near St James

What would you recommend for a special lunch near St James? One of the party of four is a vegetarian, so I'm leaning towards Italian, but other cuisines could work. The other three eat most anything.

Kitchen a Trattoria does not seem to do lunch. The other celebrants did not like Kithchen a Bistro or Casa Rustica.

Cielo in Smithtown?

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Check out Zar's on Lake Avenue. They have Mideastern food, with a lot of vegetarian choices.

The food is authentic and the people that work there couldn't be nicer. The one I go to is in Setauket, but basically borders on St James.

Well, you nixed my two favorites, but maybe Bella Vita City Grill, on North Country Road, would work for you. I really like their eggplant dishes and chopped salad.
