Need to make a trip to Target from Manhattan. Want to find a place for my bf and I to have lunch or brunch while we are in BK. Figure I can bribe him to come with me to Target if I promise him a yummy meal. We are happy to walk 20 mins or so, even hop on a subway if we have to. We've been to General Greene before, it was ok. Any suggestions on where we should go for a Saturday Lunch or Brunch in BK? Thanks in advance.

Franny's. Just walk straight up Flatbush. They only have lunch items--no brunch--but I think its the best meal in the immediate area.

Not a fan of Beisl at all. Franny's is fantastic for pizza and pasta dishes. For brunch, I like Alchemy, a few blocks down 5th Ave. Sweet Guinness pancakes and chorizo eggs are personal favs. Bark hotdogs just opened up in the neighborhood and serves solid dogs with tasty toppings, good fries (disco - cheese and gravy) and $4 sixpoint beers.

I like the brunch at Melt, tucked away on Bergen between 5th and Flatbush. Maybe 5-10 minute walk from AC.

Another vote for Taro Sushi. Very fresh, the staff is friendly and helpful, and yes, very well-priced. I think they have a great lunch special, too...

The sandwiches at Brooklyn Larder on Flatbush Ave. are delicious. As is all of their products - if you're still in the mood for some shopping! You can sit down and eat your sandwiches in the store. I have also always observed excellent service and advice from all their employees.
