For brunch, I like Alchemy, a few blocks down 5th Ave. Sweet Guinness pancakes and chorizo eggs are personal favs. Bark hotdogs just opened up in the neighborhood and serves solid dogs with tasty toppings, good fries (disco - cheese and gravy) and $4 sixpoint beers.
