I know pheasant season started in the UK at the beginning of October, and I'd love to find a place to try it.

Does anyone know of a pub or restaurant in the London or Reading (Berkshire) area that has pheasant on the menu?

Thanks so much for any help!

Lots of places will be serving pheasant at the moment, but in London try The Harwood Arms (Fulham) or Hereford Road (Notting Hill).

Give the "Pot Kiln" a call, it is quite close to Reading (Newbury side near Yattendon) and it specialises in game. It is owned by the same person who owns the Harwood Arms in London.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll check out their websites, and plan on visiting one of them this weekend.

Uhh, exactly what is meant by a pheasant "served whole?" I hope we're not talking head and feet here; not sure I could handle that.
