But you might want to head to Utrechtsestraat, which crosses Keizersgracht near Rembrandtplein. There is a great "eetcafe", a typical Dutch combined restaurant and bar, called "Vooges". Food is affordable and consistently good, Dutch / Mediterranean / International style. They also have a short but good wine list. And a little further down is Tempo Doeloe, a good Indonesian restaurants.
