Have an afternoon meeting and would like to grab a quick lunch. I remember there's was a coffee shop in the low sixties that was always packed and had good food. Open to any other suggestions. Thanks.
If street meet is up your alley, Tony "the Dragon" is on 62nd and Madison. Typical chicken, gyro, etc. over rice w white sauce and hot sauce, but very good and huge portions.
Are you thinking of Viand? If you are up for a little walk in either direction, you can get an excellent panino at Via Quadronno (73rd & Mad.) or Bottega del Vino (59th between Fifth & Mad.) - they are "sister restaurants".
