NICE sushi restaurant in Melbourne
I want to buy my daughter a Christmas gift certificate for a good sushi restaurant in Melbourne. She lives there and I live in the States. I need a website or at least a phone number to buy this certificate with a credit card. Thanks so much.

Onegai shimasu! Steve, what do you mean by 'nice'. Do you mean good, or do you mean smart? - I realise you mean a restaurant rather than a hole in the wall.
Streets ahead of everything else is Shira Nui, but it is in Glen Waverley, a suburb about 20km SE of the CBD. It is not difficult to get to from the city, but it depends where your niece lives - do you know?
After that, you are into good Japanese restaurants with mixed menus - Yu-u on Flinders Lane (CBD) and KoKo (casino) are the ones I hear mentioned most.

In Bentleigh, she is almost there, so definitely shira nui. Sushi and sashimi is the way to go, don't get caught up in the ala carte stuff
