Good news for those who live in the Banker's Hill area, I heard that the owners of Market have taken over the space that was occupied by the now defunct Modus. More casual type food from the flagship but definitely welcome to the neighborhood! Restaurant wars will be heating up in the Banker's Hill area now it seems.

Heard that.

Have you got word on an opening date?

Last time I went by (a few weeks ago) they hadn't started.

"Restaurant wars will be heating up in the Banker's Hill area now it seems."

Banker's Hill (and near by) has tons of options right now. It hasn't been like this for a few years.

No idea on date but I walked by the other day and they're working on the inside. The place is pretty much turn key and imo would need just a few cosmetic changes so I'd think they;ll be running soon.

3 years ago, it was just Laurel. I'm glad to see the fast changes happening. Banker's Hill Market is just icing at this point IMO. I'm surprised there hasn't been too much over lap up to now of cuisines. It will be interesting to see if this move hurts Ave 5.

Don't forget Mr. A's, Gemelli and Mardarin House. But yes, it is certainly a Renaissance in Banker's Hill.

"It will be interesting to see if this move hurts Ave 5."

Hard to say. They do seem to be going after the same market.

It does seem like Starlight helped KO Modus.

And Hane chainsawed Mukashi.

Its kind of like a "there is not enough room in this town for the two of us" type area.

Yeah. I think Carlsbad.

Saw him at Nunu's a while back.

He was maintaining a low profile until an overzealous fanboy bouncer started telling girls he was there. I am not even sure the girls knew who tony hawk was.

So the whole scene didn't make a lot of sense.

Not sure what the bouncer was doing. I guess he was so giddy he couldn't control himself.
