Looking for great fish & chips in Philadelphia.

I will be in Philly for Halloween weekend and I am looking for some tasty fish and chips. So far, I have heard Fergie's Pub is good but I would like to have some options. I am looking for places in Center City, Old City and South Street. Thanks!

I liked the Fish and Chips at the Bards.

I've never had the F&C at Fergie's but their food in general is mediocre and price is not in line with quality. Try these other suggestions first.

Second St Stephen's Green, also had a pretty solid fish and chips at Dark Horse at Head House Square. Pub and Kitchen is good, a little pricey but good.

If they are still on the menu, I enjoyed the fish & chips (& mushy peas) at Pub & Kitchen, 20th and Lombard. Also, just a good all-around pub menu.

I had the fish and chips at Union Trust steakhouse for lunch last week and really enjoyed them. They were made with halibut and served with ramekins of tartar sauce, malt vinegar, and ketchup.

My only quibble was the "chips". They were shoestring fries and I think I would have preferred something thicker cut. But they were tasty nonetheless.
