Where to buy ground buffalo?

swt9876 Oct 25, 2009 12:30 PM

Anyone know a place that carries ground buffalo regularly? Found a recipe that calls for it, not sure where the best place to get it is. Thanks!

Whole Foods has it in the frozen meat counter.

      They also have it fresh.

TJ's carries ground buffalo burgers frozen that you could breakup into pieces. Whole Food carries ground buffalo.

Strangely enough, I have seen it regularly in the meat section at the Ralph's in Silverlake on Glendale Blvd. Not in the frozen food section. It comes in one pound packs.

Ralph's in Manhattan Beach and Marina del Rey carries it fresh in the meat counter.

I was going to say the same, but then second guessed myself, but pretty sure my Ralph's on the westside carries it regularly.

There's a stand at the Santa Monica farmer's market that sells it.

Lindner Bison (available at various farmer's markets) is vastly superior to the meat sold at Whole Foods and several other supermarkets. Much, much tastier.

There's a guy in the Torrance Farmer's market that sells it.

Hows markets carry it all the time. NoHo does for sure.
