  1. Try Monamigabi at the Paris Casino. I think it meets you criteria

    1. I second the motion for Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. It's more of a pseudo-French bistro-esque sort of place, as opposed to the real thing, but it's a well done immitation, attractive and the food is usually pretty good (although I've had the occasional disappointment). They do large parties well - I've dined as part of a work-related group of 20 - with excellent service. And a little something for everyone on the menu. You should come in well under $100/pp. And the kids will be welcome.

Anyone been here recently? I am looking at planning an event for this August and on paper this really fits the bill.
Ideally would have preferred something off the strip- we have special diets and kids to consider- about 30 guests.

Try calling Pamplemousse. It's on Sahara east of the strip. Old time Las Vegas French eatery.

French restaurant merely *near* the Strip. Not many choices. Good luck.

Having been to Pamplemousse a dozen or so times. It will not work for what you are looking for.

BTW we decided on Postrio for the birthday. Will report back. I know not French but oh well.

Rosemary's would be perfect for us- but the minimum charge for a private room makes it unaffordable- that would be my ideal however...

Call them. It's summer, it's definitely not tourist season, you just might be pleasantly surprised.

I'll third Mon Ami Gabi. They have a kid-friendly menu that's also still sophisticated enough for the grown-up palates. They do large parties well. Oh, and they'll most definitely fit your budget!

The only other good options I can think of are WAY off The Strip... Prol'ly Marche Bacchus or Garfield's in Summerlin...

I was indeed looking for something OFF the strip ( as opposed to the OP who wanted to be on)... What is the scoop on Garfield's?

              1. re: carfreeinla

Garfield's is the funky new "Pan-Euro Bistro" next to Marche Bacchus in the same mini-mall in Desert Shores (near Summerlin). Both are fabulous, and I'm sure either will really appreciate your business. If the Summerlin area works for you, give one of these a try.

Second these recommendations; Garfield's is a bit less french than Marche Bacchus, but I think might have better accomodations for a private party. Both are very nice and are perfect for good weather. Another option would be Vintner's Grill.

I was looking at Vintner's Grill. Might be a bit too "chee chee" for some members of our crowd.... Will definitely look into Garfield's...

        2. I am a big MAG fan but I will say that I think the food is secondary to sitting outside. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, just not great. And once in the private room (been in it once) it really is nothing special. I would look at a place like Tao.
