I'm looking for a source of smoked duck breast. Does anyone know a place nearby where I can get it reliably and without going too far (I live in Milton)? Thanks.

Not exactly what you're after, but you can get smoked duck leg quarters in Chinatown (perhaps breast too?). I saw it at C-Mart the other day; it's a cured smoked duck from Duck King, and as I look online I can see they also produce half and whole smoked ducks. Probably avilable at markets in Quincy?

Also could shoot for a place that makes a good tea-smoked duck (Fuloon and Mulan are places mentioned on CH that have good versions).

Can buy online from several places if you don't need it now.....

My apologies, since this may not help you this time around, but here is an FYI. It is surprisingly simple to smoke items such as duck breast. You can get a little stove-top smoker; they work great. You can even do it in a wok with a rack in it (if you have those items). All you need are the right kind of wood chips. Very inexpensive. You will be surprised at what you can turn out.

John dewar in newton and wellesley- yes, still there. However, the smokehouse left wellesley about 15-20 yearsa go. Also, Wasik's Cheese Shop usually has smoked duck breasts.

Thanks all. I do love the idea of smoking it myself -- thanks for passing that on, but for this go 'round, will try Savenor's or John Dewars. Thanks.
