What happened to the Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley?

I walked by the restaurant called "downtown" yesterday in Berkeley and notice a sign on the window saying, "We hope to open up again soon." Anyone know the scoop?
We've had a bunch of great meals and snacks there over the last few years. I hope it really does open again.

They closed last May or June and had a sign up that they'd be opening on some date in September. When that didn't happen they put up the sign you saw.
