New Restaurant Supply?

Coming down Mopac last weekend, at about 290 West or William Cannon on the right I saw a newish, very large white building that purported to be a restaurant supply store of some sort.

Could it be a new location for Restaurant Depot? If so, I want in. There's something sexy about 28lb bags of squid chunks and 15lb boxes of bacon.

I don't see anything on their website about a new location, nor in their current flyer.

(Website seems to have just broken

)

I wanted to go there today but it appears I don't have the necessary resale/tax paperwork (not that I'm in the restaurant/food business, but I think I'll try and finagle a 'membership' anyway).

    Restaurant Depot just opened on I-35/183 area. I have no idea who it is? Glad to see you know more about my business than me. LOL

      This was near Mopac/290 in south Austin. I was nowhere near I35/183 last weekend.
      I never said I knew more about "your business" than you (??!?!?)

        Sqwertz,
        I realize you weren't near I-35/183 I was simply saying that was the only restaurant depot I knew of.

        As far as knowing more about my biz, I was refering to the fact I'm in the restaurant biz and didn't know about this place. I will have to go get it out.

        I will spell out my reply better next time.

      http://www.restaurantdepot.com/Misc/S...

      From the web site:
      *Restaurant Depot is wholesale only. To qualify for a free membership account, on your first visit you need to show a valid reseller's permit (business license) or tax-exempt certificate (for a non-profit organization) and show proof that you are authorized to purchase for said business or organization.

        Yeah. I saw that and I can cough up what they require.
