Food Truck

This is my 3rd trip to SF in 18 months and I have yet to give food trucks a try. Typically, I have my dining schedule down pat before arriving, but this time I am hoping to eat on the streets (mixing it up with dine-ins, of course). I will be in the Union Square area from Sunday to Thursday and in Stanford on Monday. Will only have a car on Monday, but will walk anywhere and/or use public transit. Any cuisine will do, just not all mexican. Suggestions?

The SF Cart Project's website = http://www.sfcartproject.com/sfstreet... is a good one-stop shop for trucks/carts/street foods.

Curry Up Now parks in the Financial District on Bush near Montgomery a few times a week - check their Twitter feed for days/times as they change it up some.

51st State parks between the Embarcadero and City Hall in different spots - have only tried them at the Eat Real Fest but liked it.

Actually they're usually closer to Bush and Sansome, and there's usually a taco truck right around the corner on Sansome.

Los Compadres Taco Truck is at Spear and Folsom. It has very good food and reasonably priced. I think it's only weekdays and late lunch.

There's an El Toyanense at 16th and Shotwell, just a couple of blocks from the BART station.

The Spencer to Go (French) truck is fun and you can take your food across the street to Terroir (if they've reopened by the time you're here).

Went to the Spencer truck recently, and they had a great prix fixe bargain--a salad/app, main and dessert for $15.00.

              Robert,
I'd much prefer taking Spencer's to City Beer, do you know whether City Beer will allow you to bring in food from the truck? I know that CB serves some food, but I'm not sure whether that would preclude bringing food in.
