Any Recommendations for Louisville, KY Restaurant Gift Certificate?

Hungry Panda Oct 23, 2009 10:18 AM

Hi! As a non-Louisville resident, I need some advice on buying a restaurant gift certificate for a wedding present. I plan on spending about $100. I want a place with some romantic atmosphere and good food. There are no cuisine restrictions but the restaurant must be in Louisville. I've read the Louisville comments on Chowhound and have narrowed it down to Le Relais, Jack Fry's, Lilly's, and possibly Basa. Any thoughts on these choices? Any recommendations for other restaurants I should consider? Many thanks.

My recommendation: Get a "Louisville Originals" gift card! They're usable at 45 Louisville restaurants, all locally owned, including Lilly's, Asiatique, The Bristol, Equus, Limestone, Rivue, Seviche... Here's the complete list:

And you can get one here:

or at any Valu Market in Louisville.

    Good luck!

I lived in Louisville for about 6 years, and still miss it. It has been a while, but I agree with the other post regarding Jack Fry's & the Bristol. The card sounds like a great idea. One of my other favorites (although more casual) was Baxter Station.
