Squid or Octopus in a CrockPot?

The rule of thumb for squid and octopus is either cook 'em very fast and hot or cook 'em very slow and low.

It would seem to me that a crockpot would make for perfect slow and low... but after a pretty good net search I can't find any crockpot or slow cooker recipes for squid or octopus.

Anyone here ever try it? A nice stew? A braise? Anything?

  1. My Grandmother always used to cook octopus in the pressure cooker for an hour to make it tender. I have also heard of dropping a wine cork in the cooking liquid to make it tender.
    I stick with quick cooking of squid usually and cook quickly in a spicy tomato sauce and serve over pasta

    1. I guess I'll have to try and invent a recipe ; )
