I wonder if this is a joke article.I say that because the woman's name is Mrs.Kirby, and they offered her a vacuum cleaner. And Kirby makes vacuum cleaners. And yes chickens have heads and feet.
my german grandmother used to get chicken feet and clean them good. Then she would use them in making soup. I also recall there is a pie known as Cockscomb Pie, which uses the roosters top comb in a pie.You can google that, but it is a real dish.

I noticed the Kirby/vacuum cleaner connect as well, Holly! LOL I cannot believe she received a vacuum cleaner and £100...I'm still trying to figure out why a vacuum cleaner has anything to do with a chicken with its head still on?

Go to an Asian market and you can find lots of poultry with head intact.

I think Mrs. Kirby ought to consider becoming vegetarian if she can't cope with the fact that yes, chickens have heads.

I wanna know from chowhounds if they'd be equally as disgusted, or whether they'd just cut the head off and say nothing, or cook the chicken with head intact!

The head goes in the stock. My neighbour eats it, but to me it doesn't appeal. I am not of the Alice Cooper school of cooking.

Wonder what she does about chickens with the butt attached? She received 100 pounds and a vacuum cleaner for it?
