What's open past 10PM on a Sunday night that's good?
I’m arriving in Chicago around 9ish this Sunday night, staying in the Loop. I was wondering if any hounds have a recommendation for a good restaurant open past 10 PM. I come into the city at least 1 week a month and always run into this same problem. Lately I’ve been taking a cab out to Wicker Park to a BBQ place called The Smoke Daddy. They’re open late a serve a good plate of ribs. All suggestions are appreciated for any type of quisine…thanks.

Quartino is a nice Italian small-plates & pizza spot that serves till midnight on Sunday.
You can create your own salumi plate from their selection of cured meats, cheeses and vegetables. Then maybe add a small plate or two (the veal meatballs, pork filled ravioli, roasted baby octopus & broccoli rabe are some I've liked). Nice wine selection available by the quarter carafe (quartino). Probably twenty pizzas to choose from, though I haven't tried those.

A fair number of the Greektown restaurants are open until midnight on Sunday including Parthenon and Greek Islands.
In the Loop Miller's Pub is a piece of old Chicago with kitchen open until midnight on Sunday, otherwise 2 am.

re: Eldon Kreider
I always get to Miller's at least once when i come to town. I think they actually might be open to 2 AM Sundays (technically monday morning). I may actually be staying on Halstead just above Greektown, so that too is a good suggestion. Are Parthenon and Greek Islands the two you would recommend above others? Thanks for the reply.

re: mgh
Miller's may be open later than midnight on Sunday, but their web site page I linked to says the kitchen closes at midnight on Sunday.
I don't eat in Greektown often enough any more to be able to do a good current comparison. There is some basis to the crack about most Greektown restaurants sharing a subterranean kitchen based on similarity of menus and food although it is obviously not true. There is no consensus on the board on Greektown restaurants. Parthenon and Greek Islands are large and have web sites with hours listed. Santorini does not list hours on the web site.
Note that the street in Chicago is spelled Halsted with only one a and is at 800 west. If you are staying at the hotel at Madison and Halsted, the Randolph Street restaurants just west of the expressway provide other options.
