Updates on the Old Pig and Whistle Space in Brighton?

Someone just sent me a message, asking what was going on with the old Pig and Whistle spot on N Beacon Street in Brighton. Does anyone know?

    1. It may be part and parcel of the huge new CVS pharmacy going into the old Compter store space next door. (Like we need yet another CVS). I was hoping for something more useful for that space, oh well. I haven't seen that side of the property, but I believe the old Pig and Whistle building is gone.

          Naw, the Pig and Whistle is still there, the CVS parcel is around it (and the gas station) like an "L"

              And apparently Marty's Liquors has applied for permits to develop part of the old Comp USA space as well.

              Meanwhile, there's still NOTHING in Marty's former space in Allston, at Harvard & Commonwealth (nor anything in the space vacated by Economy Hardware, for that matter. Too many empty storefronts!)
