As a fellow returnnee I feel he makes some interesting points (yum cha, and cheese for example) and IMO some erroneous ones as well i.e. IMO Sydney indian food is a lot better than he states. It is going to be interesting to see how Terry's pithy criticism coupled with his European experience leads to changes in SMH reviews and maybe next years GFG.
