Does anyone put potato salad in their gumbo?

When I lived in New Orleans I always heard about it but never did it. Have made a pot of chicken and sausage gumbo and have some potato salad so I want to try it. :0

    Went to grad school with a bunch of Cajuns. I've had potato salad in it, eggs in it, lot's of stuff in it

      Wow, I've never heard of that. I love potato salad, but I feel the same way about this as I do about Greek salad with potato salad plunked in the middle. Gross!

          Thanks for that. I remembered that from awhile back and looked for it but didn't see it. My best girlfriend from Jackson, MS is coming down tonight (to Baton Rouge) and she loves to try new stuff so I thought it would be fun. We are so excited! Gotta go take the potato salad out of the fridge now so it will be room temp and not so cold, as someone suggested. Of course, my boys are gonna roll their eyes...
