Dine Out Lauderdale--Cafe Maxx

Apologies if someone has already posted about this, but right now and through Nov. 12, 35 Ft. Lauderdale area restaurants are offering 3 course (or sometimes 4) dinners at $35 on Sundays-Thursdays (some not from Oct. 29 to Nov 2--for Boat Show) These are some high end places like Bova Prime Cero, da Campo Osteria, Johnny V, Sunfish Grill, 3030 Ocean, etc.

If you've wanted to try Cafe Maxx in Pompano Beach but have been putting it off until you have more cash, now's the time to do it. We went night before last and had a 4 course meal that was nothing short of terrific. I had tempura shrimp with red cabbage slaw, chopped mediterranean salad--the only miss, Double lamb chops with goat cheese and sundried tomato crust, roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables and bread pudding with anglaise and berry sauces. My dining partner had beef tenderloin tartare, braised beef bolognese with pasta ribbons, a main I can't remember but that I know he liked and apple tart with cinnamon ice cream and caramel sauce. The menu features 4 first course choices, 4 second, 6 mains, and 5 desserts. This is good eating for comparatively minimal money.

I think Chima offers their standard rodizio simply for the reduced cost. Check all the possibilities out at sunny.org/dineout I'm hoping we can get in at least a couple more good dinners before November 12.
