Thai ingredients in Michigan

Where can i get Thai eggplants in Michigan? I also want to find star anises and kaffir leaves too. I had Thai eggplants in Bangkok and I fell in love with them!

Hey, thanks for the info about ZZ's. I recently moved to Ypsi, and it's just down the road from me. I bought a lot of super healthy veg/flower plants this summer from the greenhouse that is set up next to them, but I've never gone inside. I will now!

I actually saw kaffir lime leaves at Hiller's not too long ago. Have never seen them at Zi-Zi's. You can get star anise a lot of places, there are a number of Asian stores, like on Washtenaw east of Carpenter (forget the name but it's big and hard to miss) and the place up on Plymouth.

In the Metro Detroit area, I've gotten kaffir lime leaves at Nino Salvaggio's in Troy. They have a pretty decent "international" fresh vegetable section which might well have the eggplants that the OP is seeking, but I've never looked for those in particular.

I have seen the eggplant at the Troy Nino's, so I would expect they would also have the star anise. They don't always have the lime leaves.
That said, the OP has never come back and told us where they are looking in MI for these items.....for all we know they live in Marquette.
