We have gone by La Divina on Maple Street several times lately and the sign on the door says, "visit us on Magazine". I guess they closed up shop. The gelato was ok. It was convenient if anything.

"We regret to announce that we have closed our Maple Street location. We loved the neighborhood and we'll miss our friends there. But, we hope you'll travel the short distance to see us at Magazine Street. Same great gelato, coffee and panini! 3005 Magazine Street-ci veddiamo!"

I understand that the foot traffic on Maple was very, very slow. Dunno if the nearby construction on St. Charles affected things or not; it has definitely changed car-traffic patterns in the general area.

That's a shame. I was so excited to have them in walking distance, and I never got a chance to go! But Maple Street is kinda hidden, one of those places you will miss if you don't know about it. I wish they had tried Carrollton or Oak St.
