Beer/food recommendations

Any recommendations for low end kosher restaurants that serve beer? Or bars that serve kosher food. I'm looking primarily in midtown, but anywhere in Manhattan will do just fine.

Try Wolf and Lamb on 48th between Madison and Fifth, or Clubhouse Cafe

Do those qualify as "low end"? I'd have thought that meant something like KD, but with a beer license.

If you're willing to wait a while, and to venture a short distance into Brooklyn, Olga's on Smith, in Carroll Gardens, has applied for a beer license. I have no idea how long that process takes, but you might want to bear it in mind as a future option.

You're right- I don't consider restaurants that charge $15+ for a burger as low end. Unfortunately, that maybe as low end as we get here in NY if we want kosher w/drinks. I was hoping that places like KD, or even a deli or some Isreali place had beer licenses.

I believe the midtown branch of Olympic Pita, or whatever it's calling itself these days, has a beer license. But that's not cheap either.
