Suggestions for Anniversary Dinner?

coffee_addict Oct 20, 2009 03:33 PM

Hi Hounds - Hubby and I are going to celebrate our 3rd anniversary in the next week... we love food but are watching our pocketbook as well. Do you have any suggestions for a place with a nice atomsphere, good food, and won't break the bank ($15-$30 entrees)? We love meat/seafood, Italian, Asian... almost anything except Indian (just not a favorite of ours).

Many thanks!!!

I know it's an oldie, and alot are tired of it, but Cafe Bizou in Sherman Oaks or Pasadena fits the bill. Bring your own wine for a $2 corkage and you are home free including dessert.

Church & state downtown would fit your entree budgets. Great beers & wine too. Lively place, delicious food.

Animal has INCREDIBLE food, and you can stick to small plates to share to stay within budget, again reasonable wine selection too. Mid city. We're going there for our 12th anniversary Saturday.

      Good luck & happy Anniversary!!

These might not be what you have in mind, but at the right price range...

        Gjelina on Abbot Kinney
        Orris on Sawtelle
Warszawa could be fun for Polish
Cynthia's on Montana -- share the yummy cobbler and fried chicken that so many love
        Bar PInxto to share tapas
Amici in Brentwood is on the higher end of your budget

Depending upon the weather, maybe hit up somewhere for tacos or something else yummy picnic style food and picnic it up on the beach...

We're you planning to order apps too? I think you could have a nice meal at Gjelina for this price point if the 15-30 was just for entrees.
