Their stuff isn't anything super special, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they are horrid. It reminds me of a lot of American chocolate based candy products, like See's. If you don't like that style of chocolate then yes, you will find it horrid. I would agree it is expensive. But I'll go in there once in a while, and I'll buy a piece of chocolate now and then.
