When I eat at good sushi restaurants often and then go to the exceptional ones I really
can appreciate the difference. But I go to the same ones over and over and yes it;s delicious but I'm wondering if there is anything with the quality of 15 east, Yasuda, Kanoyama that has come along.. I do not put Ushiwakamura, Azubo (sp) megu etc in that class. So hopefully someone has a new great place for me to try.

Sushi zen sounds interesting... I liked your opinion on Sushi Ann. I just read something about Uo, but it sounds like it's cool because it's secret location but a bit trendy on the food

This is not a new spot, but Jewel Bako is by far the best sushi restaurant in the city. Get the sushi omakase at the bar - it is unbelievable.

I think you'll get a lot of disagreement on that. Jewel Bako usually isn't mentioned with the top places.

To the OP, I think Kurumazushi belongs in the list with Yasuda et al. It may be the best of them all, although the most expensive. Of course, it's the opposite of "new" since it's been around for more than 30 years.
