Beal House,Littleton,N.H.
Littleton finally has a gourmet restaurant!!!
We were there last week now that this once fine restaurant has reopened and we were not disappointed at all.
Absolutely excellent short ribs were on my plate and scallops done to perfection were on her plate.
Service was first class with Brandy at the bar serving us.
Drink specials were creative and innovative as well .
We especially liked being used at "guinea pigs" to test the three kinds of pumpkin pie the chef was thinking about serving to guests.
They were all excellent and tasty.
All the ingredicnts from greens to meats were locally -grown and locally raised(where possible)and they were all outstanding in both taste and presentation.
Littleton has had nothing of this caliber of restauant for years outside of occasional spurts of decency from Baliwick's.
Littleton Diner still is the best hash around(IMO) and Rabbit Hill Inn still has great food as well but you really have to try the Beal House to experience really great food in the Littleton area.
