I was in today and had a latte and the apple tart. Both were very good.
My only complaint would be that it seemed slow - about 10 minutes to get my latte. Only 4 or 5 people in the place; no one waiting at the counter to put in their order. Maybe I got there just after a table had ordered and sat down?

They have expanded their hours 7-7 M-F; 9-5 weekends.

Had a coffee and a breakfast croissant there the other day. Both were very good. I'd like to try the pannis but I suspect the service would be fairly slow, since it took a while for the croissants and those were ready-made just reheated.

I was there about a week ago and had an excellent Butternut Squash soup. It was served with a delicious slice of bread. The space is modern, warm and cozy. I also had a decent espresso, nothing special at all. They serve Doi Chaang coffee, a great cause but unfortunately not locally roasted.

Doi Chang is locally roasted. Same folks who used to be Planet. It's not roast dated though. Their espresso is Abiamo (aka The Planet) Angel's Espresso. Also not roast dated.

Oh, that's good to know. I just assumed it wasn't roasted in Calgary because the website doesn't mention it. Thanks.

J.Manzo is correct: Abiamo roasts its coffee localy in Calgary. Coffee comes directly from growers. There is a lot of information on their website ( google: ABIAMO coffee). It is a new brand owned by two experienced people in both the coffee and restaurant business.
