Philadelphia Holiday party suggestions

I am planning (already) my company's holiday party and am tired of going to the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. I know that Center City is out, but are there some good restaurants in any Philadelphia neighborhood that has free, off-street parking? I can use as many suggestions as possible and I need places that will accommodate a few vegetarians. Thanks.

  1. Popi's has pretty good Italian food, they can handle a large party, and have their own parking lot. They are in deep South Philly...

    1. How many people are you talking about?

        15-23 people

      2. Konak is a fun, Turkish restaurant in Old City with many vegetarian options, and a parking lot:

Zocalo in Powelton Village serves contemporary Mexican food, with a smallish parking lot:

By holiday time, the former Abbraccio at 47th off of Baltimore in University City should be open as a Vietnamese restaurant under same owners as "Vietnam" and "Vietnam Cafe." They have lots of free parking and a separate room for a party.

As Bigley asks, it would be most helpful to know the size of the group you wish to accommodate.

There is no parking, but close to public transportation and plenty of nearby pkg lots is Giorgio on Pine, it is right off avenue of the arts between 13th and Broad, they have a room elevated above the restaurant that I saw set up for a party once and it looked beautiful. It is however BYOB.

        2. La Fourno on South Street has handled our holiday party group extremely well for the past two years. With 20 people you can pretty much get the whole upstairs to yourselves, 3-4 choices of entree (including a vegetarian one). It works out really well for us, though I will warn that Saturday nights in December are probably all booked at this point (I know for sure Dec 5 & 12 are). No free off-street parking though.

          1. Moonstruck in NE Phila has good Itaian food and small private rooms that would accomodate your party - and free parking. Very convenient to Mont Co and Bucks Co

A second for Moonstruck. I've written about this place before, it's one of our favorites.
